There is a king size bed in the main bedroom plus a king single bed in the lounge. The apartment is situated at ground level. There are no stairs and parking is available directly outside the front door. Ingredients for a continental breakfast are provided. We operate a contactless check in service, although someone is on site if you need assistance. Bridgehaven Guesthouse is centrally located in the Waikato region and is easily accessed from SH27, SH1 or SH29. Only 30 minutes from Tauranga, Karapiro or Cambridge and 45 minutes from Rotorua. Explore local walkways, bike trails, kayaking, nature sanctuaries and thermal pools. There’s something for everyone!

Welcome to Bridgehaven Guesthouse - a quiet apartment nestled in a hectare of trees and gardens, surrounded by farmland. I will be available to answer any queries you may have, but will give you privacy and space to enjoy this romantic setting. You are welcome to explore the gardens and I will provide you with an outdoor table and seats if you want to enjoy an al fresco beverage or meal. There are many local cafes, shops and places to visit - I am happy to give you recommendations and directions. I love the location of my property. I am close to a number of towns and small cities, but enjoy the rural setting. Originally from Auckland, I moved to Okoroire in 2018. Since moving here, I have continued to plant more native trees to encourage the bird population. I aim to use eco-friendly products in my home and in the guesthouse. I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world! I enjoy gardening and playing tennis. I am heavily involved in the local dramatic society and regularly perform on stage. I am an author. I write children's books, short adult fiction and plays. My first picture book, "Art the Alien", will be released in 2023.

Many guests enjoy visiting the Hobbiton Movie set, or local walkways and cycle ways. Kayaking is also popular at nearby Lake Karapiro. The Blue Springs is a delightful walk alongside the crystal clear water of the Waihou River. The nearest town, Tirau, has lovely cafes and unique gift shops that are definitely worth exploring! We are also close to a number of local wedding venues. There are a number of golf courses in the vicinity - you can enjoy a relaxed 9 hole course at the historic Okoroire Hotel or the more challenging 18 hole course at the Tirau Golf club (only 3 minutes from here). We are close to the townships of Matamata and Putaruru. It is also a central location to enjoy day trips to Tauranga, Rotorua, Cambridge or Hamilton.
