Enjoy a relaxing stay at our quirky self-contained Orchard Loft adjacent to our family home surrounded by a delightful expansive garden situated in the tranquil countryside of Whakamarama on a working avocado orchard, close to Omokoroa Beach and Tauranga with ever changing Kaimai views and stunning sunsets. Our Loft is a cosy one bedroom [comfy queen bed]/lounge open plan living with sloping ceilings upstairs. The kitchenette and bathroom are downstairs with electric heating throughout. There are internal and external stairs, a small balcony upstairs with outdoor table and chairs facing towards the Kaimai ranges together with a patio downstairs. The kitchenette has a good basic set up including a microwave, air fryer, and access to a BBQ. An assortment of tea, ground coffee and milk are provided together with a light self-service continental breakfast selection to kickstart your stay. Enjoy the unlimited free WiFi together with Google Chromecast, TV with Netflix. Guests are welcome to enjoy and wander the garden at your leisure, a perfect place to relax and take some time out.
Leanne and Robert are semi-retired. enjoy hosting and meeting people from all walks of life. As your hosts, we believe we have the perfect blend of country life on our orchard while being conveniently close to Katikati (19 km), Omokoroa Beach (6 km), Tauranga (18.7 km) and Mount Maunganui (23 km).
Our location is a short drive from Katikati, known for its murals, and close to Tauranga city and Mount Maunganui. Nearby activities include scenic bush walks, thermal pools, Te Puna Quarry Park which is well worth a visit for gardening enthusiasts, the Omokoroa to Tauranga cycle trail, great cafes at Omokoroa, the Cider Factorie, Haiku walk and murals, golf courses, and McLaren Falls Park. We’re also very close to wedding venues [2 minutes drive to the superb Black Walnut venue]. Guests often comment on the privacy, fabulous sunsets, serene surroundings and birdlife. Or you can sit back and 'chill out', enjoying the serene sunsets and surroundings.
