this property was build in 1894 with Kauri milled on site. access was by water to Maungaturoto, Batley, Whakapirau and Pahi. The house was also used as a midwifery at one time. it had been abandoned for over 20 years when bought in 2021. lovingly restored with modern conveniences.
I love restoring and furnishing old homes with a special interest in Antiques and local history. we are local farmers in Maungaturoto.
Rocky Point is at the end of the road. Batley is behind the large limestone cliff that you can see over the water. Whakapirau and Pahi are the next bays on the way to Matakohe where the Kauri Museum is not to be missed. give yourself a full day to explore.
