Our house is located in a quiet area, set back off the street, yet close to all the amenities in the area. Guests will have private use of the adjacent bathroom, including shower and spa bath, as well as a separate toilet. The entrance, hallway and kitchen are shared with us. Guests can help themselves to tea, coffee (instant or plunger), sugar, and milk in the fridge, as well as use of crockery. Guests are able to store their own food in our fridge. If you want to cook in the kitchen, you are more than welcome, but please liaise with us, so that we can ensure everything is available for you. There is a table in the kitchen that is for guests to use for dining, or is suitable as a work space. There is also a couch for guest use. Note: we have another lounge and dining area for our private use. Airport pick up, drop off and bicycle hire is available for a small fee, upon enquiry.

We (Kirsten & Alastair) are a professional couple that own and live in the house with our big fluffball Jack - a Persian Ragdoll cat. We are both self-employed, working from home (Kirsten in the home office and Alastair in the workshop) and will be around most of the time for any queries or to offer recommendations.

We are 15-20 minutes walk from the beach and beach shops, which have a variety of independent businesses including many lovely cafes, restaurants, gift shops, dairy (foodstore), hair salons etc. and Kapiti Island ferry departure point. New World supermarket is also a 20 minute walk in the other direction and the Paraparaumu Golf Club is nearby also. There are some nearby pleasant walks and cycle paths away from the road, including alongside the Waikanae river. There is a guidebook in the guest bedroom with many recommendations.
