This property offers a studio apartment and a three bedroom cottage. They can be booked separately or you can book both and slide the partition back on the deck to link them together. The studio apartment has a spectacular view with a large claw-foot bathtub on the private deck. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, hot plates, microwave oven, and an outdoor bbq. There is a king size bed with an electric blanket plus a sofa bed that can fold into a double bed. The heating provided keeps the apartment cozy and warm. The cottage has spectacular views, full kitchen including a dishwasher and an outdoor bbq. There is a separate laundry with a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom includes a shower and a bath, a toilet, and two vanities. There is a heat pump in the comfortable lounge and dining area. There is a queen size bed in each of the three bedrooms with an electric blanket plus extra bedding if required. Your pets are welcome, and there is room for your kid's to play. We are surrounded by the bushy bank down to town, and a grassy historic Maori Pa. There are cows across the road, and sheep up the hill. All you will hear is the ocean surf and the native birds.

I came to Kaikoura when I was eighteen years old as I have many extended family members in Kaikoura and purchased this property seven years later. I am married to a wonderful man and we have three fantastic boys who enjoy hunting and fishing and most outdoor pursuits. The apartment and the cottage have become a fun and fulfilling project that we have put a lot of time and energy into making the perfect holiday place. We are on the edge of the Kaikoura Peninsula, high above the township. We are among the walking tracks, right outside your front door. Summer-bare or plastered with winter’s snowy coat, Mount Fyffe and the Seaward Kaikoura Range dominate the Kaikoura skyline. They provide recreation opportunities ranging from a family stroll to a serious backcountry hike. We are adjoining a Maori Pa, a large piece of land that once was a sort of fort: Ngā Niho pā on the Kaikōura Peninsula is thought to have been built during the 1820s when the people of Ngāti Toa, waged war against Ngāi Tahu. From the pā, enemy canoes could be seen approaching along the coast.
