We have a very modern, fresh property with wide views of the lake and hills surrounding Rotorua. We can even see steam rising from the Pohutu Geyser! We are in a quiet, elevated suburb in the south west of Rotorua close to the centre and all the major attractions. For B&B guests, there is a shared guest lounge and dining area. Guests are welcome to relax here and we'll make you a coffee from our commercial grade espresso machine. Please note we have a Siamese cat.
In 2017, we moved from Auckland to Rotorua for a complete change of lifestyle. We love the area we now call home and would love to share its delights with you. Annie: I worked for over 25 years in the English language teaching industry, as a teacher (of adults), teacher trainer and academic manager. During this time, I got to meet people from all over the world and (hopefully!) improve their English. I enjoy walking and mountain biking. I'm also a volunteer guide for free historical tours in the Government Gardens. Dale: I worked as a commission sales rep, selling wine to restaurants and creating wine lists. Previously, I worked in wine retail and also the cycle industry. I'm a mad keen mountain biker. Mountain bike enthusiasts are welcome to join me for a ride on some of the wonderful trails nearby. Please note we are both fully vaccinated against C-19.
We are only a 5-minute drive to the Waipa Mountain Bike hub, where you can choose to ride one of the many trails available, from easy to very challenging. We are about an 8-minute drive to town, where there are many dining options. The Redwoods and Skyline are only around 10 minutes from us. Nothing is too far in Rotorua! We have an excellent local bakery, Guidough's.
