The self-contained studio units are adjacent to the main hotel building. The older-style accommodation upstairs in the main hotel offers shared facilities including a communal guest lounge overlooking the harbor, which offers tea and coffee making facilities.
The restaurant offers local seafood, and a varied menu with daily specials. The on-site bar is a great place to meet locals, view historic photos, and learn about island life and history.
Wildlife tours can be organised by the tour desk where it is possible to see kiwis and sea lions. Bravo Adventure Cruises is just a 5-minute walk from The South Sea Hotel and can organise fishing trips.
Ringa Ringa Golf Course is less than a 20-minute walk from the hotel, while Invercagrill Airport is a 20-minute flight away.
