Step outside to your patio overlooking the garden, where you can listen to the birds and unwind after a day exploring the Far North. We are within a 3 minute drive of local shops, cafés, walking tracks, and some of Northland’s most beautiful beaches, making this an excellent base for work trips or a peaceful getaway. A continental breakfast is included, and your friendly hosts live on site and are happy to help if needed, while fully respecting your privacy. Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, our studio offers a calm, comfortable home away from home in beautiful Mangonui.

After years running boutique accommodation in Queensland, we’ve settled in Mangonui and created Topsy Turvey – a private, self-contained flat designed for comfort, peace, and a touch of fun. We live upstairs and are happy to help with local tips, fishing spots, and scenic drives – or we’ll leave you completely to relax in your own space. Mangonui is a historic fishing village with a relaxed atmosphere, waterfront cafés, and small local shops. From the flat, it’s only a few minutes’ drive to both Mangonui and Coopers Beach, where you can enjoy safe swimming and walks along the sand. The wider Doubtless Bay area offers plenty to explore, including scenic coastal drives, local markets, and day trips further north to Cape Reinga or the Karikari Peninsula. It’s a friendly, easy-going community that gives guests a real taste of life in the Far North.
