Our feed back from guests has opened our eyes to what a beautiful place we live. We are rural, yet so close to town. So many of our guests have been wowed by the outlook that we took for granted over farmland and towards the Hokonui Hills . We purchased the property over 20 years ago when the original 100 year+ house, the homestead for a large farm was sub divided and put up for sale with 3 acres. We rebuilt after a fire destroyed it in 2010. The new house has been purpose built for guest comfort in mind.

Bruce and I love meeting people, we are not travellers so enjoy hearing about the rest of the world from our guests. Our aim is to make our guest feel comfortable and relaxed weather it be by total privacy or company. We share a love of music, classic cars, motorcycles, gardening and animals. We have both lived locally all our lives so have plenty of local knowledge we are happy to share.

Gore has a population of just over 12,000, so although small enough to be friendly it is big enough to boast some awesome things to see and do. We have an amazing Gallery, Vintage Aircraft Museum which includes a workshop where they restore aircraft. There are some really great public gardens in town and only 15 minutes drive to some lovely nature reserves. Plenty for the kids too with a pool and ice skating complex and parks. At the end of a busy day relax at one of the lovely Café/Bars in town.
