Our Story What began in 2010 as a small, family-owned dream has grown into a space where travelers from all over the world come together. In 2014, we proudly re-inaugurated our business, a moment made even more special as Panama celebrated the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Panama Canal, marked in 1914 by the historic passage of the USS Ancon. Much like the Canal forever changed the way the world connects, our vision was to create a place where cultures could meet, friendships could begin, and every guest could feel at home. But this dream would never have become a reality without the dedication of the incredible people who stand behind it. Our reception team, housekeepers, and maintenance staff have worked tirelessly; late nights, early mornings, and everything in between, to make sure every corner of this house is ready to welcome you. They are the true heartbeat of our hostal, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment and care. And finally, to our guests, thank you. Our hostel is located in the vibrant Bella Vista neighborhood, just steps away from Parque Urracá and the Cinta Costera; the perfect spot to stroll, exercise, or simply enjoy the sunset by the ocean. From here, you can easily walk to the Casco Antiguo, get lost in its historic streets, or admire the stunning skyline of the modern city. Our location is unbeatable: we are surrounded by two major transportation lines and just three blocks from the metro station, giving you quick access to the bus terminal or the airport. When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by a lush tropical garden full of plants and orchids surrounding our colonial house, built in 1939 by the LeFevre family. At the heart of this unique setting, you’ll find a spacious, fully equipped kitchen; the perfect gathering place where guests. from around the world share recipes, flavors, and travel stories. Starting 30 September we will include a continental breakfast. If you’re looking for adventure, we have something unique: we are the only hostel with a climbing wall! Baboons Boulder Wall is a great place to train, have fun, and meet other travelers. And to end your day in the best way possible, we invite you to relax at our open-air bar “Utopia”, which also features a restaurant serving delicious dishes. You can enjoy everything on our cozy outdoor terraces, perfect for sharing great food, a craft beer, and good conversation under the starry sky. We’re half a block from Parque Urracá, four blocks from the metro station, and right between Cinta Costera and Justo Arosemena, two of the city’s main transport avenues. Cross the park’s pedestrian bridge to reach the oceanfront walkway, where you can stroll toward the city’s luxury shopping and dining district or wander to Casco Viejo, the charming historic quarter from the 1600s.
