It is also within walking distance of the most important historical monuments of the area, Lidzbark Gate and St. John the Evangelist's Church, both dating back to the 14th century. The nearby forests have plenty of cycle paths and the river is ideal for canoeing. In winter, you can enjoy skiing and other sports in the nearby winter sports centre.
