Situated amongst the traditional white buildings of Santarem, Hotel Umu was recently renovated and offers free Wi-Fi access. Parque da Ribeira which overlooks the River Tagus is only 3 km away. The air-conditioned rooms at the Umu Hotel have a simple décor and feature a balcony. Each contains a flat screen TV with cable channels and a writing desk. The private bathrooms come with a hairdryer. The restaurant provides a freshly prepared buffet breakfast daily in the elegant dining area with floor to ceiling windows. Guests can enjoy a drink on one of the tables on the sun terrace or in the bar. During the day guests can walk into the historical centre of Santarém which features many Gothic churches including Igreja de São João de Alporão, 2 km away.
