The Brukenthal is a stately palace from 1788, formerly used as the summer residence of Transylvanian Baron Samuel von Brukenthal. It now offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi, just 50 metres from Avrig Train Station. Sibiu lies 28 km to the west. Visitors to the historic Palatul Brukenthal can enjoy the Baroque architecture and the large landscaped palace park. Rooms are located in buildings throughout the domain. Some rooms have private bathroom facilities, while others have shared bathrooms. You can have your meals at the on-site restaurant, tasting Saxon, Romanian or international dishes, or relax at the dining lounge/bar. Popular nearby attractions include the Court House and the Town Hall, both found further down the street. You can also visit a deer and wild boar farm located nearby. Parking is provided free of charge.
