I was born in New Hampshire, lived in England as a little girl, attended college in the South and have lived and worked in Portland, Oregon for two decades. With two kids in tow on most trips, travel isn't as far-flung and freewheeling as it used to be for my husband and me, but if you run out of sunscreen and Z bars on the road, we're here for you.
Home away from home is anywhere with a stack of old magazines, plenty of Vinho Verde and a good beside reading lamp. We keep our home clean and tidy and will treat yours with equal care.
I'm now an Airbnb host with my sister Lisa since we created a family retreat in Keene, NH. We're thrilled to open our vacation home up to others when we're on the other side of the country. Years of traveling have helped us create a supremely comfortable, well-outfitted home filled with all the things we love in a getaway destination.
Favorite destination so far: toss-up between the Croatian island of Vis and Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.
Best part about traveling with kids: they make friends for you wherever you go.
Where I want to go soon: Iceland, Portugal, Tofino, B.C..
The area
The house is a quick walk or drive into downtown Keene, a quaint college town with terrific restaurants, shops, parks, bars and entertainment. Situated in the beautiful Monadnock region, there is so much to explore! Hiking, orchards, lakes, farms, classic towns, ski areas, rivers, bike trails, museums and more. We’ve written a guide to the house and local attractions to tip you off to some of our favorites that we’ll send upon booking.
