Ashbourne bed and breakfast is located in Hazyview, a 20-minute drive from the entrance to Kruger National Park. Overlooking the Sabi River Valley, it is surrounded by lush gardens and a swimming pool with sun terrace. Each cottage or suite mixes quality bed linens with individually styled décor such as a 4-poster bed with mosquito net or antique furniture. Some have a separate seating area or a fully equipped country-style kitchen. A daily buffet breakfast with fresh local products is served in the dining room. A three course dinner is served in our dining room every evening from 7pm. Ashbourne Country Escape Hazyview is located within a 3-minute drive from several restaurants in either direction of the R356 regional road. Packed lunches can be organized for local excursions booked at Ashbourne’s tour desk. Guests can explore nearby towns such as Sabie or Graskop, both under 40 minutes’ drive by car. There is a library on site, while cycling and hiking are other activities to be enjoyed in the surrounding area. Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and Mac-Mac Falls are less than 32 mi away.

The owner gave us incredible helpful advice about Kruger Park, the breakfast pack (due to our early departure) was the best we had in South Africa and the views combined with the honesty bar made for gorgeous evening aperitifs!

Company info

We have loved this unique 35 hectare spot since we first set eyes on it in 1994. It was virgin bush...we started from scratch...moving aside rocks to make a road...then, hauling all water and building materials up by trusty Landrover!

Property info

A typical Stone Farm House, three seperate buildings around a lawn, face the Lowveld sunrise, and all that is magnificent about this beautiful part of the world. The two self catering cottages have a sunset view of the Sabi Valley and Drakensberg.
