We are Bas and Marleen from the Netherlands and because of our fondness for Africa and South Africa in particular, we have decided to create a permanent place for ourselves and share it with other visitors (when we’re not around) on the beautiful south coast of Kwa Zulu Natal.

This beautiful Log home is situated 160km south of Durban in a small village called Leisure Bay. 8 km before Port Edward. Leisure Bay is a tranquil area boasting the beautiful Kidds Beach. Life Savers are on duty on weekends and holiday periods. This beautiful beach is only 300 meter from the home. Ivy beach is only 200 meter from the home. There are stunning beach walks and views of the Indian Ocean. Glenmore to the North and Port Edward to the South. Surfing, beaches to choose from. Coffee farms with tour and restaurant: Mpenjati and Beaver Creek. Lovely for breakfast and lunch! Beautiful river and ditto nature reserve for hikes: Umtavuna river and nature reserve. Horseback riding on the beach is possible at Selsdon. A must visit: Oribi Gorge and Lake Eland! Game drives and adventure activities such as a zip line with about 14 descents! Just over an hour’s drive from here. Our beautifully furnished holiday home is known as “Bon-up-a-Tree”. It is nestled amongst Natal Milk Wood Trees. Bon-up-a-Tree can accommodate 10 persons and consists of 4 bedrooms. 2 double rooms (Double beds) and two rooms with bunk beds. There are 2.5 bathrooms and the living area comprises of a modern spacious kitchen with an open plan living area including bar area. This opens up on to a 100sq meter deck which boasts the most amazing ocean views with braai and jacuzzi areas.
