Welcome to Bridge Cottage and our home, Thornybush, on the edge of the forest. It is private and quiet. For runners and walkers there are 10kms of forest and fynbos paths to explore. Swim in the private natural river pool or relax on the deck and watch the birds. Thornybush is close to many excellent restaurants. The nearest beach is a 10 minute drive away, as are the bird and animal parks in the Crags and Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve is just up the road.

Plett represents what I love in life....nature, peace, opportunities to do great outdoor activities, quality cultural events and friends. As a family our favourite holiday is a camping trip anywhere in Southern Africa. We have travelled in Europe and love the history, the food and the difference of being in another culture. In future we would love to visit India and Nepal to experience these cultures and to walk in the Himalayas. On arrival you will be met by host and possibly our energetic dog, Jackie. We are happy to share ideas and advice about the best of Plett and surrounding area.

Our place is set in a rural environment which is peaceful and has lots of birdlife. Our neighbours are nearby but not in view. Our home and Bridge cottage are in a forested part of the farm. There is a swimmable river on the farm boundary and fynbos in the mountains. Bridge Cottage is on a small farm out of town. You will need your own transport to get there. However there are private taxis which will do the trip between Plettenberg Bay town and our place if necessary. There is no Uber in Plett yet.
