Property information

Under Milkwood Cottage is a charming stone & thatch home in Witsand, nestled on the Breede River and surrounded by Milkwood trees. Living, dining, kitchen and braai room are on the top floor, with wooden decks wrapping around front and back. Two bedrooms are accessd down stairs from the living room. The main bedroom is ensuite with bath and second bedroom has access to a seperate bathroom in passage with a shower. A third bedroom with ensuite, is also downstairs below living area, but is only accessed from downstairs through sliding door leading onto outside patio. Other two bedrooms also have doors leading onto this patio. Fourth ensuite bedroom (with shower) is in a seperate cottage at the back of property, accessed via decks from living space at top. Ample parking in front of house, although garage is not available to guests. Parking for boat and more cars is across the road and will be shown to guests on check-in.

Neighbourhood information

Witsand is a small coastal town in the Western Cape, well known for various fishing adventures. Less well known is that the San Sebastián Bay, into which the Breede River flows is the whale nursery of Southern wright whales and that they spend the months from July until October in the bay, calving and mating in the calm waters.
