The atmosphere in the hotel was really great. The restaurant was really great as for breakfast but even better for the dinner. We really appreciated spa with pool and sauna. We even tried some massage procedure and it was really great.

Very quiet location, but next to the running ski trails. Rooms very comfortable, clean. Staff helpful and nice. Parking lot next the hotel, in part with shelter. Especially I must mention breakfast: tasty, fresh, with wide selection.

Great hotel, everything is so nice and well though-through. Everything is brand new, it is modern but very cosy and traditional at the same time. I stayed in the suite which was a very big room. There are also 3 restaurants in the hotel, tried the Austrian and Japanese ones and they were very good. Breakfast is excellent, many options and good quality of food. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Such an incredible property. Loved the pool area, the saunas and private area - everything about the hotel makes you want to stay there. Heaven in the mountains. The only downside is that it is next to a road, but I guess it's a great upside if you come without a car. If you get a chance - book for at least two nights.

I first visited the Rigele Royal by chance 19 years ago and took my family (aged between 10 and 42) back there this year because of my fond memories of the hotel experience and resort. To my pleasant surprise, not only was it every bit as wonderful as I remembered, The Rigele Royal has actually managed to improve in all areas. We took the half board option and can honestly say the the food selection, quality and volume were faultless. The breakfast is as good as you will find anywhere and all staff were friendly and helpful. I tried my best to speak German but they saw straight through this and were all fluent in English (amongst several other languages). The hotel is spotlessly clean and the facilities are excellent. The indoor/outdoor pool and spa area were perfect after a day on the slopes. If there is snow on the roads, you can ski in/out but if not it is only a 30-40m walk from the boot room. The hotel sits in the heart of the main town centre with bars, clubs, shops and restaurants all within a few minutes stroll. I cannot recommend Obertauern and The Rigele Royal highly enough
