The property has a very good location on the shore of the lake. with a swimming pool overlooking the lake and the mountains. staff was very welcoming and friendly. we even got a free upgrade on the room to have views on the lake. the breakfast and dinner were very good.

This is like a dream place. An experience you would hardly forget! The location is dreamy, my room was facing the hills with cowbells ringing all day. Breakfast are exquisite, whatever you like will be served within a minute. Service everywhere in the resort is amazing, stuff is the friendliest and the most entertaining for the ones who travel alone too. You can enjoy several different restaurants with great cuisine and views. Spa in the Waldhotel is perfect, clean and quiet, not many visitors during a low season (i was basically alone there all the time). You can also enjoy some attractions around or visit Luzern by boat fastly.

The luxurious Park Hotel Vitznau right at the banks of Lake Lucerne has been entirely renovated in 2012 and 2013 and features its own private beach, 2 restaurants, a large spa area and free garage...

I booked this for my daughter and her partner. She also stayed at the Waldorf Versaille which actually had fireworks that she could see from her room overlooking the palace. If you want to stay here, choose a lake view room - you won't regret that. Stunning lake with hills and coves will please your eyes every time you look out the window. Ducks and other birds often play just outside. The reception staff provide guests with a free of charge bus passes for the duration of their stay, which I think is a citywide policy to boost tourism, and very convenient as there is a bus stop just outside.
