The staff was very friendly and helpful and served a really nice breakfast. The room, our own terrace, but also the hotel garden were all beautiful. The bathroom was very big and clean and had a nice jacuzzi. We will come back here for sure.

The location was close to town and the bus stop to Quito is less than 10min walking distance. The staff were so warm and accommodating. I didn't want to leave. The room was as per described in the description. The TV has Netflix already set up so you can enjoy some entertainment. This came in handy for me as the only day I had for activities was a wet one, so I stayed in and loved every minute. Not sure what previous people were complaining about with the breakfast. It was a good balanced breakfast enough to keep me full all day and the juice was fresh made. I didn't like egg yolks and the staff went out of their way to make my eggs differently the next morning. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the accommodation. It is a shame I didn't get to try the pool.

This place is AMAZING. While the walk to our suite was long, it was completely worth it as it was entirely secluded with the balcony/spa overlooking the jungle and fully private! Breakfast was great, free zipline and swing was heaps of fun too. I really wish we could have extended our stay here. We loved being amongst nature and we even had breakfast with some toucans and hummingbirds :)

Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere.     The pool was a nice place to relax. Very tranquil. And the bird watching on the balcony was lovely. The breakfast was also very good. The fridge in the room was useful. The private spa that went with the room was top notch.

    This is a very special place. My cabin was absolutely beautiful, and the land is magical. I saw toucans from my balcony and Tony was very helpful throughout my stay. The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was a dream with views of the forest.
