I had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the well equipped pod. The hot tub is very nice and worthwhile. I had a wonderful sleep. I am very appreciative of the owner going out of his way to accommodate me and my last-minute booking.

We recently stayed at Bird Nest to celebrate our Engagement Anniversary, and it was truly a remarkable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the hospitality was exceptional. The facilities were top-notch, and the cleanliness of the place was impressive. A special mention to Mr. Gary, who was incredibly helpful, polite, and a true gentleman. His hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The jacuzzi was an absolute delight, and the peaceful, calm ambiance made it the perfect getaway. Without a doubt, this was our best stay ever, and we highly recommend Bird Nest to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience. Thank you for making our special occasion even more special! We can’t wait to visit again.

A beautiful location with lovely views. The drive from carlisle city was 15 minutes and it was way to find. The lady who owns it was really helpful and she welcomed us , and showed us around, she had pre heated the hot tub for us which was a real bonus. it had been snowing but we still managed an hour or so outside. The open fire was a delight and this had been stocked up with wood for our arrival. The cottage had been cleaned to a high standard and had all the amenities we needed. I don’t have any bad things to say about our stay. 10 out of 10 - Thank you

Great set up. Everything you need for few relaxing days. I loved the Christmas decor and that Christmas tree lights were on when we first opened the door! It gave us this cozy welcome. Big plus for the heating left on for us, was worried it might be chilly when we first got it but it was nice and warm ! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent facilities, modern and clean. Unique location with the addition of the birds on site...especially Hootie the snowy owl who greeted us every morning with her song! Gary our host was super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great to be close to Carlisle too but out the way enough to feel secluded. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The hot tub is also a fantastic addition! We were also lucky enough to watch one of the on site bird experiences and see the beautiful birds in action.

    What an amazing place. The accommodation is clean, extremely spacious, and has everything you could need for a relaxed stay. The hot tub was ready on arrival and great with it having a cover in case it rains. The birds of prey on site are great, and the birds of prey experience is 100% a must do. Gary and Graham are so lovely and easy to talk to. Nothing is too much for them! We would defo be back.

    The cottage is absolutely stunning. The location is brilliant especially if your getting married at gretna green 8 minutes away. The walk down the back of the cottage is stunning. The bathroom is beautiful, lovely bath and shower. Beautiful bedroom. Kitchen is very convenient with washer and dishwasher.the fireplace is beautiful and cosy at night. Lovely dining space. Brilliant garden with private hot tub at the back. I would love to return. It made a lovely little minnimoon after marriage.

    Lovely spacious cottage with double bathroom, 3 big bedrooms, 1 playroom with a pooltable and extra bed. Full kitchen, lovely fenced garden and a spacious livingroom and extra toilet downstairs. Lovely owner with good advice about the surroundings. The jacuzzi was a bonus.
