Stunning location and a charming, quirky and characterful place to stay. Extremely friendly and welcoming and a huge bedroom with views over the hills. Breakfast was excellent and the highlight was the pool and gardens. Located in a peaceful spot, the pool was a wonderful temperature with gorgeous views over the hillside.

We were a group of 4 travelling from Spain to Slovenia and stayed here in May 2024. We needed a place close to the motorway, out of the city centre and had secure parking for our motorcycles. This hotel fit the bill and we we made very welcome and we were extremely comfortable there. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was huge and quiet. We liked it so much we will be using it again for our return journey.

We had an amazing time in Montalbera; we spent 5 nights there and it’s the perfect location to visit Monferrato. Montalbera has a magnificent view of Montemagno and the surrounding hills and vineyards, which are stunning (you can also walk through the estate thanks to 4 different routes)! We definitely recommend a visit to their wine cellar and a wine tasting. We found that the experts working there were very prepared and knowledgeable (and just really nice and friendly in general), and their wines are produced with care, attention to the territory and innovation (the Ruchè Riserva was our clear favorite). If you stay, we also recommend a bike tour (you can rent e-bikes in Montalbera), which is the best way to see and enjoy the Monferrato’s hills which are stunning and all a bit diverse! Last, but not least, the staff at the check-in will provide your with a useful list of restaurants. Ciao and grazie Montalbera, we hope we’ll come back soon!

It was one of the best experiences in Italy!!!! Apartment exceeded our expectations, very clean, organized and beautiful. Reception was just perfect, the hosts were super friendly and helpful. There are good options of restaurants around, specially the Pizzeria Tre Fratelli (you have to try the pizza Volcano).

A very welcome and authentic relief from borring IKEA furnished hotels. A true gem. And the town is lovely as well, conveniently located, there are a few shops and bars. I stayed here during my long-distance cycling trip.
