Checking in was easy. The staff’s English was excellent, at the end of the stay I had misplaced the parking receipt from the beginning of the stay. The front desk staff physically walked out to the parking lot we used and called the parking company to let us out. She went above and beyond the customer courtesy I could have possibly asked for and let us out of the lot with no additional fees and was so polite even though it was clearly our mistake. The staff is amazing!

Going to takesagoonsen is like visiting the Japan in Showa time, but with modern communication ease. The staff are helpful and manage to talk in simple English so that it makes our stay very convenient. They also have a nostaglic shop and game corner at the 1st floor and I am 100% sure everyone will like it, from kids to grandparents. The onsen is fantastic. The hotel caters for everyone's need to explore the Showa Japan culture.

We tried to book the hotel at the last minute. this hotel was the only affordable option available for our travel dates in this location. We were not aware that this is a love hotel. Seeing the exterior of the hotel, we were a bit skeptical. But, after getting in, we felt perfect. The staff [ all women ] were friendly and gentle. The room and bathroom are spacious. I feel it is luxurious compared with other mainstream hotels in Japan. They had only four options for breakfast, and we had to inform them at what time we would like to have the breakfast, and they will bring it to the room. Breakfast was good. The transportation from this hotel location to the town is mainly by taxi. GO / Taxi app is very helpful to hire a taxi in this Location. The bus timings are not that convenient. The public transport options are sparse. Note: No kids are allowed to stay here.

The quaint feeling of an old, Japanese house felt surreal. With the recommendations of our hostess, the experience was made better when we visited some of the best attractions Asahikawa has to offer. lovely little place with a fantastic owner. everything was super clean and ordered and the lady who ran it was charming. Very anxious to make sure that everything was good for us. It’s shared bathroom but there are two on different floors and not that many rooms so it was not an issue. The house is on the outskirts of town surrounded by countryside and very peaceful. We very much enjoyed staying here.
