Very nice house with great facilities. We especially like the onsen that you can book for private time. Location is great if you are visiting Lake Shirakaba. It's probably the best around the area.

The photos don’t really do the cottages justice, they are super cosy and comfortable. We hired a car in Matsumoto and decided to stay here the first night (30 mins drive). What a place! So super friendly we felt like we were stopping with people we knew. The kids caught fish and Toru helped gut, skewer and cook them. He speaks fluent English and German and was so lovely! An unforgettable experience! The bath house is perfect, old school and authentic. We loved this place so much! We can’t rate it highly enough!

    A nicely maintained house in a quiet local community. Love the spacious kitchen with so many cute tableware. There is even a Yamaha Piano well in tune. There are two bedrooms so maybe 3-4 person could enjoy the facility more. The host is nice, punctual and informative. He speaks good English and helped us back to the train station with his car. Hope I can speak more Japanese with him next time.

    Very relaxing, spacious, clean and private place to stay. I loved the garden and all the amenities included in the stay. The guest house owner Sho was a lovely and kind person who gave us some sightseeing tips and a bunch of flower gift at checkout. I would definitely come back again for a stay in Kamisuwa.
