Owner is very nice, and he can communicate well in simple English. The place is tidy and well equipped, you can cook here if you want. Network here is fast. I felt comfortable during my stay.

It is an old hotel so with realistic expectations it is actually very good. Room was big, front desk was helpful, onsen was decent and finally the food was better than lots of Ryokan that we have stayed in.

I really liked this stay, but if I had to pick my favorite things they would be: a) the fantastic scenery all around- it’s out of the way but worth it b) the home cooked meals were so good and filling and healthy - it was so great to have some homemade food while on a trip c) the owner was very kind and welcoming without being intrusive
