Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room). Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

Location was very good for skiing. Ski room locker directly opened onto slopes and the top of gondola was steps away when returning on the last lift. Have stayed here before and the private onsen room includes a private dining room with full multi course Japanese meals. These Japanese meals are very traditional and not for the western palate but are a great experience for the adventurous. The normal rooms and shared dining work but the private dining is the real treat and why I booked. The shared onsen is also very good but maybe not great if it was busy - we were the only ones there and the sauna and outdoor pool were a bonus. If the private onsen room doesn't make too big a dent in your wallet and you want to experience traditional Japanese dining then go for it.

I never experienced such VIP service otherwise in the world. Whole reception teams demonstrated what extraordinary service should be. I arrived late by bus and was welcomed by one receptionist in bus stop. so I did not need to carry my luggage in the snowing road. They even opened the ski rental shop for me after working hour. The next morning, I missed public shuttle bus and they offered to use hotel shuttle bus to drive me over to ski lift in Yakebitaiyama without reservation in advance. I felt that I was living with a lot of friends instead of living in hotel. I was too tired to try the bar at night, and I would like to try it next time. Swimming pool was good with quite warm water. Hot bathing place with best view. Sun rising over snow mountain top. Breakfast was very good with many variations. The dinner I ordered was pork hotpot, and personally I think the starter tasted better and pork meat is okay. I will try something else next time. All in all, the service and room condition are all top.

The property is a short walk to/from Yudanaka station. The staff are quite friendly. They drove me to the Snow Monkey Park before my check-in time. By the time I checked in, my luggage is already inside my room. The onsen/ofuro is a nice welcome after being out and about in the bitter Winter cold.

Everything!!! Incredible location, steps from the slopes, very comfortable room, great WiFi, rental on site - great people and equipment from Snowcan rentals - very good baths! A few meters from the bus stop. And the food is just out of this world ; and the chef is so good and such a kind person!!! Great breakfast and just amazing dinner!!! You have to go halfboard!! But the best is the people, all the staff is so kind and helpful, and the manager is the most friendly person ever!!! I had the best birthday ever staying at this hotel !! We have to come back !
