Beldon Hotel was a spacious and very modern accomodation which was in a great location - nice and quiet as it was just a short walk up the hill from the bustling main street of Hiriketyia. The staff were lovely and the included breakfast was so delicious (endless options to choose from as well!) The Beldon was a little bit of luxury on our trip to Sri Lanka, would definitely recommend it!

The host is amazing They take care of everything for you and you see they have very little but they are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met They give you the clothes off of their back even if they don’t have any to give just to make you feel welcomed Really top notch Super nice people

Fernando and his family are so sweet! The guestroom is on the first floor with an amazing view over the lake and has plenty of space (indoors&outdoors). Everything was very clean (& had AC) and we were taken good care of. Sometimes we were even invited for tea and srilankan sweets! We liked to watch all the different animals from the balkony! There are several restaurants just around the corner which have amazing local food and the prettiest beach is just down the road! Apart from that the price was super fair. We would definitely come back any time! Thank you for the wonderful stay! ☀️

We spent part of our vacation in Sri Lanka very comfortably in a private, beautifully designed villa with a very comfortable and wide bed covered with mosquito net, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking (even a mixer), a huge terrace with relaxation and dining areas. Fibre optic internet link - fast and stable. It is worth mentioning the tastefully furnished bathroom. The villa is immersed in a carefully maintained tropical garden, we could watch how tropical fruits spread and grow, listen to various bird songs from morning to evening, and observe the migration of monkeys through the treetops every evening. It is a unique experience. The villa is away from the main road, nothing prevents you from enjoying the sounds of the tropical forest. The lighting is planned very wisely, you can turn on the light where it is convenient for you. It is allowed to leave the car in the owner's yard. There are two beaches nearby to the nearest about 600 m. However, it is worth exploring further afield, which are truly plentiful. Exceptional breakfast - an egg dish (a tribute to European taste) with fresh juice, fruit and a new, delicate national dish every day perfectly prepared by the caring owners. The host family located in the neighboring house surrounded us with sincere care. The communication is very warm and discreet, the advice is practical. A special word of praise should be said about the hosts' kitchen. For dinner, guests can choose dishes from the a la carte menu, which are definitely worth trying. All tasted were delicately flavored, fresh, made just for you. We are very grateful for your hospitality.

Initially my partner and I were looking at properties closer to Hirikiteya beach however, we are so glad we chose to stay at Villa Fiorita instead. Villa Fiorita was set back from a main road which was quiet and the perfect location. It was only a few minutes walk to Cargills (supermarket) and from Bank of Ceylon for withdrawing money. It was only a five minute walk to Dickwella beach - which was our favourite beach compared to Hirikteya beach which is a further 10 minute walk. Dickwella beach was much less crowded with barely anyone there with us witnessing the best sunsets we had seen in Sri Lanka. It was literal heaven. The property was an entire apartment to yourself with a large living space, good sized bedroom that had A/C and was very clean. We couldn't believe how much you actually got being extremely good value for money, especially compared to the prices of properties near Hirikiteya beach. We used the washing machine also. We would recommend anyone looking at Hirikiteya to stay at this property as it is everything you will need and more. The host also helped us for the next part of our travel by taking us in his tuk tuk to the bus stand and waiting with us until the correct bus came and helped us aboard. We just want to say thank you to the host.

I spent a wonderfull time in Surf Paradise in my privat bungalow, which was very nice and clean, a Fan, privat bathroom with hot water and a very comfortable King size bed, 180 cm wide, with the best madrass on my 6 week SL trip. Good mosquito net, (but I hardly saw any mosquitos!).There is always a breeze, keeping the mosquitos away.I loved sitting on my own little terrace right in front of the beach with a fantastic view over the bech and sea. It is a lovely authentic Sri Lankan fishermans village, with the boats lying on the beach and you can see all the fisherman comming back early in the morning.  There is a lovely little terrace with Table and Chairs, in front of room, there you get your meals, with a beautiful look of the beach and the sea. A garden with a hammock, overlooking the sea. The family is so helpful, kind and loving. Always big smiles and a good sense of humour made it a fun and interesting stay. I stayed here first time 3 years ago for 2 weeks, and had such a good time, but because of the Corona Restrictions I have been waiting 3 years to be able to come back. It really felt so good to be back again and staying with this warmhearted Family. I had all my meals cooked by the family. Very good food, and cheaper than the restaurants around. The sea is very good for both surfing (further out), and safe swimming, even for small children. I alsoenjoyed snorkelling right of the beach , just 10 meters out,  a lot of fish, and turles, this I saw every day. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone.

Wow, this was the best experience in Sri Lanka for us! The room is decent, clean and good, but the hosts make all the difference. We were invited for the birthday of the hostess’s husband, with cake and their complete family. Such a loving family, and the breakfast was 10/10.
