The location was perfect, very calm street, but not far from the city centre and from the railway station either. The owners of the property, Wendy and Rodney, are extremely kind and helpful. We appreciated rich breakfast, lovely garden to relax, comfortable bed, TV with Netflix. The bike rental directly at the garden helped us a lot, we went to city and to the beach by bike. There are 4 dogs at the property, but all of them are very nice and friendly, well educated. There are only 2 rooms to rent, so there is a cosy, friendly atmosphere. We had nice conversations with the other guests.

Breakfast was super, Bed too, Host was very friendly, bathroom very spacious, and we even had a small private terrace. We felt comfortable, a home away from home.

The location is sublime. Unbeatable view. The suite is luxurious, the breakfast is extravagant, the hosts are welcoming. This is the second time we have stayed at De Gevangentoren and I cannot wait to stay there again.

A very warm and personal welcome by Erik and Suzanne, the hosts and owners, with a full and helpful introduction to the very large accomodation, the many wellness features and things to do in the surroundings. The apartment is in perfectly new conditions, all amenities are of highest quality (kitchen, beds, entertainment, wellness,...) and the breakfast was just amazing in quantity and quality. We extensively enjoyed the two private saunas as well as the outdoor hot tub. Not to forget the exquisite massage on site, which we booked in addition and which was performed by Suzanne. Attractions like the Zeeland coast, cities of Brugge, Ghent and Antwerp are all within short driving distance. We enjoyed every minute in the De Paauw Bed&Wellness.
