A well equipped place.i felt like at home.the owner is very kind and thoughtfull.you have everything you need in the kitchen and big rooms.a bonus is the jakuzi and sauna.i really enjoyed it and recomend.excelllent value for price

I have been travelling and managing hotels for many years and this is the first time I can say with certainty: absolute perfection. Beautiful, extremely comfortable, exceptional amenities. The jacuzzi and the pool at night under the stars with the sounds of the sea are an absolute blast.

The host, Jennie and her husband Andy could not have been more welcoming, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was a different offering on each of our 4 days there.

The back deck overlooking the Bush was beautiful, even a Tui was feeding, great location off the main road and on the edge of town, fantastic water pressure in shower. Beautiful comfy king size bed and nice crispy sheets. Definitely book again.

It was a pleasure fo spend time at this place. Dolphine and her husvand are incredible hists. They help you on any topic and provide such a nice and warming atmosphere. The property and the house are just beautiful everything is so clean and looks fantastic. You will enjoy your stay there from the first second you arrive until the last minutes when you have to leave. We would highly recommend this place as it was the best experience in New zeeland!!! The rooms are so pretty and the beds are very comfy. The breakfast is outstanding with nice fresh homegrown vegetables and fruits. The outsight is a paradise for children with the fireplace, the spa and the tennis court and not to forget the chickens.

Beautiful place to stay, you have everything you need, including a full kitchen, smart tv, comfortable bed. You can park in front of the door and it is walking distance from all the restaurants. We had a lot of rain while we were here and we were so happy we were staying in such a comfortable place.

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

A lovely apartment with stunning views across the bay. Bob and Margaret were wonderful hosts, providing us with lots of useful information. We enjoyed the fresh fruit which was left for us and the beers in the fridge. It was great to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day enjoying the beautiful views.
