10/10 for absolutely everything! First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.

Absolutely wonderful spot at 45 min drive from tongariro alpine crossing. A complete house and hot tub with view on the mountains. Kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of attention to detail and very spacious. So far our best accomodation in new zealand! Will probably go back one day..

    Thanks for having us, it was a pleasure meeting the super lovely owner Scott and his wife. The room was perfect and warm! They also brought us nice breakfast and fresh fruits with some local drinks. The spa pool was so good to relax after a ski day. Water of the two river next to the building were from the snow mountains, the sound of the river and birds from the forest made me feel great to connect to the natural environment.

    Easily the best accommodation that I've stayed at in Ohakune over the past six years. The separate bedrooms are great if you're travelling with kids. Relaxed and spacious cabin ambience. Excellent kitchen and cooking facilities. Enjoyed the two hot tubs after skiing.
