The room was spacious and clean, the hotel exceeded my expectations. In May I did not see any children in the hotel, it was very quite. Breakfast was ok, but without fireworks. I had expected more fresh vegetables to do vegge salat, some feta or other white cheese, there was nothing except tomatoes. Here a huge disappointment. Spa centre small but nice. Hotel very close to the airport, 5min by taxi - cost 10EUR with tip, few lovely local restaurants (with fish with banana!) close to the hotel, the village small, very quite and relatively flat, comparing to Funchal. On weekend few performances in the village by the local singers and dancers. I loved this quite place.

The hotel is massive with multiple restaurants, bars and lounging areas. The pools were lovely! The hotel room is really spacious and we loved the bathrooms. The shower is really spacious and the marble splurged everywhere in the hotel screams luxury and opulence. The Galaxia fine dining restaurant was lovely. We chose to go a la carte and had the artisan bread, wagu beef skewer and red snapper (catch of the day). The food was delicious and worth the price if you like fine dining. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Great variety, very friendly staff and delicious food! The downstairs bar staff were amazing and we liked the love music nights. The staff are friendly, kind and really made the hotel feel more "warm" with their personalities!

Everything. The staff were amazing, both at the hotel and the restaurant, 10 out of 10. There was a problem with the amenities in our room and they sorted it in minutes. The hotel facilities (sauna,spa,...) were good and really appreciated after a long day of hiking in the levadas. We managed to get the pool and the sauna to ourselves the both nights we stayed, which is always a win. The room was big, with really comfortable beds and a little balcony with stunning views of the vineyards and the cliffs. The breakfast was buffet style and with lots of options, including stuff for me as vegan and gluten intolerant. There are 3 time slots for breakfast each day, and they constantly refill the food. The restaurant was also amazing, we reserved at the hotel each day and everything was charged to the room. The food, again, incredible, the vegetarian espeitada was to die for ( I had it twice !) and the mushroom burger was also really good. The portions were big. The vegan coulant was also tasty. We will be back and stay more time.
