The newer area of the hotel was very nicely decorated and clean, and the old part of the estate still had a very cosy feeling, especially the bar in the "library" where we could sit and have a few drinks after dinner.

Set in a magnificent building, the hotel has scenic views and elegant rooms. We like the hotel, good to stay and see the old course though we did not play. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Good view from fourth floor dining area.

You could see there was a lot of love for detail and careful planning involved. From the loaf of freshly baked bread to the bathing robes, it was just a well rounded experience. Especially the kitchen was very well equipped, inviting to cook an actual meal (which we did!).
