Both dinner and breakfast were japanese-style, but not too traditional on both taste and texture (I say this as a plus, because my partner is not keen on super traditional Japanese cooking and still managed to eat most of his breakfast). We were also offered non-meat options beforehand, which is great! The building is a mixture of western and japanese styles, so for example the common room has high tables and chairs and a parquet, while the rooms have tatami. Everything was lovely, the common area had a beautiful terrace with a view, our room had a small balcony with outside seats and a private onsen bathtub. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted during dinner. We speak good enough Japanese, so language wasn't a problem, but the owner also speaks good enough English and is very helpful. We had free access to coffee, tea and water from the common room and two complimentary water bottles in the room.

What a lovely place to stay! it is a private home that has been converted to a home stay however the manager was not onsite during the night and you did not feel like you were living in someone's pocket. Clean, warm and comfortable. our room was a traditional Japanese one. I was a bit wary about sleeping on the floor but the futons were thick and exceptionally comfortable with plenty of blankets. There is a private hot spring bath that is available for use which is lovely to soak in. staff were really nice and the breakfast was super delicious!

Private parking is available for an additional fee. They had a warm welcome and informative introduction to the facilities. The room was also clean and fully equipped with amenities. The view from our room was magnificent and it was surprisingly quiet even though we were near the restaurant. The breakfast (additional service) was sumptuous and we were glad we had ordered it for all three days. The personal in-room onsen was easy to figure out and was definitely the highlight of the stay! Staff were also friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out.

It was her day off from work and having her dinner. She got up from her seat and patiently took time to help us pick food and drinks from the Japanese menu! Big space for 4 adults. Having 2 toilets is a plus! Even though we can hear some loud noises late night on the street, we still had good sleep because of the comfortable sheets and mattresses.
