The property is non-smoking and is set 47 km from RNZAF Base Ohakea. Tony & Jill were wonderful and welcoming hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Tony helped carry our suitcase from the car to the studio at the back of the property. The pool and Jacuzzi were a fabulous added bonus. The icing on the cake was the G&T our hosts gave us by the poolside. Outstanding! At the same time we had privacy as the studio is completely seperate from the main house. The Studio is in a wonderfully landscaped garden with a wide range of plants & trees. The accommodation is “compact and bijou”, but has everything you might need. Very cleverly designed. There is outside seating areas with a small table and two chairs to sit & watch tv. At the end of the stay our hosts said we could check out later if we wished. Very relaxed family oriented hosts, who gave us great information about the town, and where to eat and visit etc. Small continental breakfast that was very tasty. We were also given a lovely homemade slice, to have with a cuppa when we arrived as well. 😋 Highly recommended!

I had some really interesting conversations with them, and they were always happy to help with anything I needed. Everything was clean and comfortable — the bed was especially cozy, and the room was spacious. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a warm and genuine experience.

The location is incredible! Gorgeous views and a very short walk to the beach. Enclosed patio area with a great BBQ. The spa is magical and was definitely the highlight for us! Our boy loved it and so did we, thanks for an amazing weekend away.

First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.
