Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. Large, comfortable rooms in a beautiful, historic hotel. There is a spa in the garden that is open for hotel guest use. The attached restaurant is amazing, with lovely log fires to sit around and a delicious menu. This was our second time staying at the Cardrona, and we would definitely return again in the future.

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Wanaka is an amazing place to stay. I get the impression that most travellers use Wanaka as a stop off to the Glaciers like we did. If i was planning my trip again I would spend at least a few nights in Archway motel, Wanaka. The hosts Jacqui and Mark can not do enough for you, they really are the best hosts you could wish for. Mark went out of his way to help my wife and I reschedule our trip to the Glaciers following the road closure at Hass. I can not think him enough for his reassuring assistance. Add to the above, the chalets are extremely high-end, comfort, quality, home from home. My wife and I would stay here again and for longer if we get back to NZ.
