The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe. Staff were superb, particularly Fernando in the restaurant. The little touches on arrival in the bedroom were lovely.

An absolutely exceptional accomondation, it might've easily been the best hotel I've ever been to. It certainly beated even all five-star ones on my list at the moment. The room was amazing, spacious and comfortable. The bed was perfect (and big, too). The area is scenic, the breakfast is delicious. The hotel restaurant and the bar offer really good food and drinks.

The staff were wonderful, warm, welcoming and delighted to answer questions, offer services and suggestions, invite us to enjoy the evening fire, recommend activities etc. we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our time at Solar Dos Cantos.

The staff will clean your room and assist with the clothes washer. Full kitchen and dishwasher. Many of the 14 rooms have gorgeous decks. Ours had two decks ! Elevator, air conditioning and free garage 👍

Claudia and Nicole were amazing and very attentive to our needs daily. My kids always looked forward coming back after exploring the beauty of this island. You felt free to enjoy the property and all its amenities. Amazing vacation that my kids and I will treasure forever.
