We were the only guests. The host and hostess were very attentive, but not intrusive. Bed was very comfortable. Room good size, excellent temperature control, wardrobe, fridge. Shower was amazing - large, hot and good temperature. Breakfast was exceptional....yoghurt, museli, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, bacon, cake, coffee, juice... couldn't ask for more.

That's the best description for this restored 3 bedroom 19th century mansion! Huge rooms with huge ceilings, comfortable beds, decorated moldings, period furniture, spacious kitchen, spacious bathroom, tons of bath towels, full cooking supplies, grand hallway, private garden/yard with traditional cement wading/soaking pool, fast wifi, gracious and helpful host - and all of those traits are just the beginning. The local hiking is tremendous, and short drives away are historical villages and the tallest peak in Portugal where you can sample various meats, cheeses and pick up a 100% wool blankets for practically nothing. In short, this is one of the rarest gems in the rental world!

The host was super friendly and accommodating. Nice, warm house due to A/C in bedrooms and living room, very clean, comfortable beds. We would like to return in the summer to enjoy the terrace, swimming pool and BBQ facilities. We didn't have the chance to use the jacuzzi this time.
