Guests at Gästgifvaregården enjoy access to sauna and jacuzzi as well as a games room with pool and dart. The grounds and hotel are a lovely mix of charming and contemporary but in keeping with the original buildings. I have never seen a hotel room with such attention to detail… hooks… robes… lighting etc. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and if I lived here would order one. This hotel was one of our favourite places during our 2 weeks in Sweden. Would absolutely stay here again!

There was so much luxury in this well-planned apartment that we regretted only staying one night. The separate undercover and glassed-in verandah with BBQ and comfy lounge puts this place on an entire next level, and that is without mentioning the jacuzzi that was already hot and ready and super clean upon arrival. Even the air-conditioner and dishwasher was a touch of convenience which shows the thoughtfulness of the host. Very convenient in the middle of our long road-trip was the washer and separate dryer which allowed us to do multiple loads in one day. Clever stairs which takes up minimal space to to the generous sleeping area on the landing above, a large TV which can be enjoyed from the big and comfortable bed on the bottom level, and all you will ever need in a kitchen while enjoying the view of the water through the kitchen window. Small added luxury items like designer coffee mugs and imported wine glasses made us feel extra welcome and added to the high level of comfort the host is clearly aiming for.

At the bed and breakfast, every unit includes bed linen and towels. Such a peaceful place! Waking up to birdsong, sitting on the balcony with views over fields and the sea in the background. I was sorry I could only stay one night. Very nice and healthy breakfast. The cheese pancakes were lovely. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful.

Each wooden cottage at Tofvehult Boende is about 100 metres from a lake. All have a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities, as well as a dining area and private bathroom. It was very quiet and a great experience in the middle of nature. Lena (the host) was very nice, helpful and she is a very good cook. The cottage had very lovely furniture and decorations.

Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away.

All cottages at Daftö have a living room with a seating area and cable TV. Each has a furnished terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

This hotel is set in a renovated 19th-century farmhouse by Abbekås's Mossbystrand Beach. It offers free Wi-Fi, in-room flat-screen TVs. Guests can get access to the spa with an indoor pool, a sauna and outdoor hot tubs at an additional cost. Our room was located in a old silo which was completely renewed with all modern comfort (air conditioning, large TV screen, minibar,…). Unfortunately our room did not have front view on sea but we really enjoyed the location of the hotel very close to the beach (nice for romantic walks before or after dinner)… The restaurant of the hotel is very nice in Swedish style and is offering some local food (BTW with very large choice for breakfast). The hotel is close to Ystad (only 10 km) which is a nice city of the southern Swedish coast (jazz festival starting from 31st July). Also SPA is available in the hotel (this is normal, we are in Sweden! 🇸🇪)…

Fantastic for small kids who like the simplicity of playing outdoors in natural surroundings. Cosy cabins with comfy beds. Very much enjoyed the warm outdoor shower.
