Located in the historic district of Montevideo, Alma Histórica Boutique Hotel offers sophisticated rooms with an elegant style and free WiFi access. Guests can enjoy a full daily breakfast. The staff was perhaps the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel (where I have spent much of my time due to work). The hotel has true charm, the breakfast was top (not something I usually am paying too much attention to but it stood out how artfully they served my scrambled eggs!). The furnishings is not modern or new but it is part of the style and fits 100%. Bathroom facilities and library also top. I loved my one night here.

Breakfast was good, with limited but very nice options. The room was not remodeled and yet very comfortable and spacious. The location is awesome as it has Markets, restaurants, shops including nice bookshops and pharmacies, and even a movie theater within a block.

It's very convenient for discovering the city. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom clean (plus a large tree out the room window offering privacy and greenery). The shower had warm water and nice water pressure too. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast offered sweet and savoury foods as well as a good choice of beverages hot and cold.
