I tend to walk from the station to Beachy Head and carry on walking till I reach Birling Gap (non-stop). I am not young and I take my time. I am getting better and better each year at walking up hill, from the bottom of the first hill of the 7 sisters (where there is a cafe). It is a reminder to cut down on sweets during the year. I know that I shall have to climb that first hill.

This is a very beautiful place to walk.

This is a very beautiful place to walk. If you know the history of this place it is also very sad. Not for small children, cliffs could be very dangerous. There is also a couple of pubs to visit with lovel food.

I liked the whole very friendly, calm atmosphere created by all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The buffet breakfast was excellent. It offered a wide range of items to choose from. One evening I ordered a meal from the bar menu. On another evening I had a meal in the restaurant. Both meals were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The location is excellent. I was able to walk along the promenade from the hotel to Beachy Head and then to Pevensey Bay.

Brand new apartment even the wrapping hasn't been taken off the freezer drawers. Lovely spacious living dinning area, very well equipped kitchenette. Excellent shower room. We were there during the heat wave so apartment was cool being below ground level. 10 Steps down from the road. Great location for the beach and Seven sisters country park, Beachy head etc.

We stayed on a room only basis and found the room to be clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bar area and separate lounge also very comfortable. Hotel is very much a home from home place, which we enjoy. Hotel is also in a great location for town, beachy head walks, and the beach. We did not take breakfast, but would have taken an evening meal, but the resturantant was not open for the few days of our stay. No problem as there are plenty of eating establishments nearby. We look forward to coming again.

  • The walks along the cliffs around Beachy Head are suitable...

The walks along the cliffs around Beachy Head are suitable for people of all ages as the ground is gently sloping with no steep bits. Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters is very interesting as you can see how the coastline has evolved over the years. You can walk as far as you can see if you are feeling energetic.
