Quiet and stunning views with very friendly and helpful staff who were all a pleasure to speak too. Excellent value. Two very nice pubs with excellent food very close by and fantastic views of London’s skyline a short walk away. Will definitely book again.

If you want to be treated like royalty and get the best value for your money, come to the White Horse. It was my husband's birthday, but I never hoped that staying in a hotel could make this day so special. Needless to say that the hotel itself is magnificent, the room was fantastic, very beautiful and comfortable etc. But it's the staff's work and the management's choices that make this place stand out. At the pub's restaurant we were served delightful and adventurous (and very moderately priced) 100% vegan food (vegan English pie!!!) coupled with two free glasses of Prosecco for the occasion (they kindly replaced them with drinks of our choice since we don't drink), which made our evening. The room was full of charm, had a lot of treats for the evening tea and a hand-written card, and in general the hotel kept pleasantly surprising us at every corner. The full English breakfast was also adapted for our vegan needs. I'm looking forward to coming back and giving my parents-in-law a gift stay as well, because after our visit I can be sure to recommend this place to the most special people and be sure they will have the time of their lives here. Thank you for making my husband and me so happy on his special day!

    It is a nice National Trust park.

    It is a nice National Trust park. I really enjoyed one of the local venues in the area. It is a pub/country inn at the foot of Box Hill, Mickleham. The Running Horses. Nice welcoming staff, very good food and nice beers/ales. Very cozy fireplace and a fire pit outside on the terrace.

    The manor is stunning and in a lovely location. The staff were lovely and really helpful. The booking process was easy as was check-in and Rachel gave us a print out of the directions for the Box Hill stepping stone walk. The food was very tasty.

    Closeness to Box Hill. Pool area (although most people using pool are not hotel guests). The small number of staff looking after large numbers of people who visit the lido, try their best and are friendly and helpful.

    Hotel sits at the foot of Box Hill just off the A24. Unfortunately at the weekend the road attracts lots of motor cycles so ask for a room at the back if you don't want to be disturbed by their noise. Our room at the back (100) was spacious and quiet and overlooked a nice garden. Room with breakfast for £100 seems good value.

    The host was very helpful in confirming the booking and providing information. The apartment is clean, well equipped and smart with a beautiful view out to Box Hill. It's quiet, but only ten minutes or so walk from the station and the town centre.

    The location was great, right next to walks up Box Hill and walking distance from London trains. The room had everything we needed, fridge, a very comfy bed, good shower and a funny little conservatory/covered balcony that I liked. Although the exterior is a bit tatty I found something really charming and likeable about the hotel and would like to go back in the summer and use the pool.
