Supper and breakfast were really excellent - all home made bread and granola/muesli. Good wine list but a bit expensive. The small bathroom/shower room was very clean and modern with an excellent shower. Delicious cookies to accompany a cup of tea. Tintern itself is so pretty with lots to do and other locations are within easy reach. We loved Tintern Abbey and towns such as Chepstow and Monmouth. There are lots of CADW sites to explore too. The flat was very clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and milk provided. Great hosts who made sure we had all the details needed in plenty of time and they responded immediately to our messages. The food and service in the restaurant was great and the hotel is in a nice location for an evening stroll down the lane opposite to the river, as well as being just up the road from Tintern Abbey. Easy walk to Tintern abbey and some nice little cafes and a gift shop. Breakfast was very good as was the food in the evening. We ate at the hotel both nights of our stay. Old station Tintern is worth a visit. Very interesting , old railway carriages form a museum. History of the area and other information.
