This hotel is perfectly located for the Duomo and surrounding properties. It is pleasantly appointed and easily accessible. My room was well equipped and bathroom amenities were of an excellent quality Breakfast was very generous and contained a variety of choices, with special eggs and coffee made to request. Staff were delightful.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was ideal, and I think the best hotel for where we wanted to be in Milan. Breakfast was excellent and the beds were soft and comfortable. While it was close to all the major sites (easily within walking distance) it was very quiet. On Sundays there is a nice little street market with antiques right outside.

Some theaters are worth seeing even without attending a show...

Some theaters are worth seeing even without attending a show (E,g, Palais Granier in Paris and Opera in Vienna), La Scala is not one of them: if you didn't get a ticket to see ballet or opera there, don't spend money on the tour.

Go in the morning and you can walk around inside the theatre. We were lucky enough to be there whilst the La Scala ballet were rehearsing for the opening night of Swan Lake. Really something special. The theatre museum is also worth visiting if you are an opera buff. When we visited there was an exhibition of the opera work of director Franco Zefferelli

Saw a student production of the barber of Seville and was absolutely blown away. I got seats described as “no visibility” but could see absolutely fine so wouldn’t pay for a more expensive seat, but be quick with booking because tickets ran out the same day they became available.

Sumptuous theater, wonderful museum.

Sumptuous theater, wonderful museum. We attended a performance of Verdi's Ernani, it was superb, sets orchestra, costumes, glorious singing, exceptional acoustics. We were in the most upper tier, could not get better seats, we felt as if were sitting in the orchestra pit and among the performers. Priceless

As a stage actor myself, I was very underwhelmed, even disappointed with the famous 'La Scala', it is...a building, granted, the lateral side was in refurbishments so we couldn't go inside to look at the stage or witness any performance, but....it's just a building.

The same day tickets are very limited view.

The same day tickets are very limited view. You have to stand to see the stage as they are on the 5th and 6th balcony I believe. Try to get orchestra seating. The back of each seat has a screen with subtitles in Italian and English which was helpful. We got a $50 discount on each ticket for being seniors. Your CDC card is accepted along with the European green pass.

The location is perfect for anyone interested in art and culture. I took the Metro only from and to the airport. Everything else was in walking distance. La Scala, Duomo, Pinacoteca, Sforza Castle and lots more.

The location is fantastic! Walking distance to the duomo and many shops/restaurants. Beds were comfortable and there was complimentary juice for the kids and water. My kids also loved that the seats from Teatro alla Scala were in the room and that the TV was humongous for family movie night in:)

It’s a very stylish hotel. The room was very comfortable. Anthony, Luisa and all the other staff were friendly and helpful. The location is superb. The walk to the Milano Duomo and La Scala Opera House takes only a few minutes.
