This was the perfect location for our first visit to Florence. Great location a stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio, 20 mins walk from train station and right in the heart of everything to see in the city centre. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly. I had 2 lovely sweets on my pillow each day on return and the room was beautiful. There was a selection of different pillows to choose from to suit your liking and the bed linen was very cosy. My wife and I would recommend to anyone!

We had a river view with a fantastic view of the Ponte Vecchio, just a "few" meters away. Behind and around the hotel were shops, restaurants, etc. All sights were within easy walking distance. Perfect location, a fantastic hotel.

We enjoyed a lot our stay at Davanzati, the staff is great and they have multiple benefits(besides the breakfast) that we were not aware when we made the reservation and that were a nice finding: - Happy hour with free drinks - Coffee time with free treats and cake In general the hotel was pretty great, the location is perfect and near all the main attractions from the city and you can easily walk there from the train station. I couldn't recommend it more.

this hotel was a real surprise - we didn't find it by a recommendation but simply from booking suggestions per location, and the photos looked great so we decided to cancel a booking we had in another hotel because this seemed a better choice, and we were a bit concerned because you can never know.... it turned out more than prefect!! first of all the location is the most center you can hope for - in the middle of the old city of florence, walking distance from everything. and the hotel.... wow!!! everyone of the staff members, from the receptions, to the bartenders, to the bellboy and the manager were just so nice and helpful. they helped me make an amazing surprise for my husbands birthday, and they added a surprise of their own for us waiting in the room. we got a room in the 4th floor, facing the street view, a really large and bright room, with amazing huge bed, quality bed sheets, comfy armchairs, there was room for everything, large windows, and really large amazing bathroom. really we could not expect more. they helped us with information about exhibitions and recommended attractions, they made reservations for us for dinner and lunch, and the breakfast coffee and croissant were delicious and free of charge. the hotel is decorated with beautiful art by Carmel Ilan, a well known Israeli Artist which I'm a fan of for many years now, and I only found out about it when we arrived. as an interior designer this was an inspiring experience and I would definitely come back to this fantastic hotel.

Ponte Vecchio

Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

If you can take the special tour along the secret passage from the Uffizi to the Pitti Palace. The walkway is along the windows atop the Ponte Vecchio. If shopping for gold jewelry etc. along the Ponte Vecchio, be sure to shop around.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

Our hotel was adjacent to this attraction so we had a daily view of it. The photo shown by booking.com does not resemble what it looked like in December. The bridge itself is wall to wall jewellery shops. A good time to visit is before or after they close. The shop fronts change back to the original wooden frontage and makes for a good photo.

A gorgeous, spacious apartment! Tastefully and beautifully decorated. This was perfect for our family of 4. A short walk to the Ponte Vecchio and other fabulous attractions that Florence has to offer. Lovely toiletries in the bathrooms and the place was spotlessly clean. The price was also very good value for such a fab place. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

The rooms are a fabulous size and really well taken care of. The breakfast is fantastic - really good local foods, pastries and some hot foods if you like that too! Excellent coffee! The staff are always so helpful and friendly and the location of this hotel is supreme! you have a wonderful view out over Florence from the tower each night where we enjoyed some lovely drinks and its 2 mins to the Ponte Vecchio or fewer than 10 to the Duomo. Brilliant hotel and we will be back again!

Hotel della Signoria is ideally located at the end of one of the oldest streets in Florence, Via delle Terme. It’s just a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and Brunelleschi’s iconic dome, making it a perfect base for exploring the city on foot. The central setting allows you to step straight into Florence’s history, art, and vibrant atmosphere.
