Rialto Bridge

Greek glories. This ridge outside Agrigento is an archaeological treasure trove, and one of the world’s best-preserved collections of Ancient Greek architecture. Within one area, you can wander between the stunning Temple of Concordia, built in the 5th century BC, the visibly ancient Temple of Vulcan and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, sacked by the Carthaginians in 406 BC.

We always go to Venice off season but even so people tend to congregate around the Rialto....there is so much more to Venice than this tourist draw. Never stay in the area, don't eat in the area and hit all the back streets to discover the magic of this city.

Always crowded, so we just stood to the side and watched. Watched the boats, the people, the hussle and bussle. We were in awe over so many things. Saw a gal dressed like a young version of Cruella De Vil last time and her look was amazing!

It was very crowded in the off season.

It was very crowded in the off season. I can't even imagine the crowds in the high season. The main canal under the Rialto Bridge is the highway with all goods and services moving through. It isn't the serene paintings that you typically see. Rather it is highly skilled captains and gondoliers that are narrowly passing one another.

No accessible way for handicap people to cross the bridge to get to the other side. Only 4 bridges in the entire place are accessible. I had a very difficult time getting across with my walker. Imagine a person in a wheelchair bound that cannot walk. Also the streets are little blocks that are dangerous when you walk. That's the way things roll in Venice by boat and by walking.

Huge modern bathroom. Fantastic breakfast. Enrico on reception is warm and friendly and so helpful. Gave great recommendations. Was a great opportunity to use the boat ferry from Marco Polo airport (18EU ea) to a northern water bus stop (30 min), and then a 3 min walk to the apartment. The location was nice and quiet, and there were lovely cafes very close by, and a small supermarket with 100m. It was a 15-20 min walk to say Rialto Bridge etc, so very ideal. The apartment was spacious and suited our needs perfectly. Gabriele was excellent in all communications and offered good information on certain tours, and offered to book them too.

The location was superb - very close to the Rialto Bridge and overlooking the Grand Canal. The apartment was on the second floor of a beautiful old building, two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and two Juliet balconies. The apartment had high ceilings and was very modern and beautifully furnished. The photos do not do it justice. Highly recommend it. Very good value for money.

The staff at the hotel speak good English and they are very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation met our needs. The bedrooms and the bathroom are modern and clean. The double bedroom has air con and the twin has a fan. The apartment is located in a quiet street but still close to many restaurants and within walking distance to the Rialto Bridge and the train station. Also very close to the waterbus stop for Murano.

The location is unbeatable - right on the Rialto Bridge, which made for an unforgettable stay in Venice. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the wonderful young staff member who helped us carry our heavy suitcases up the many flights of stairs after our long journey; such a kind gesture that made all the difference.

The apartment’s location is just perfect. just steps from the water taxi stop Rialto mercarto, and a few steps from the famous Rialto bridge with restaurants on the doorstep. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable, wifi was good and the aircon was brilliant Communication from Alberto was excellent and we were given clear instructions on accessing and travelling to the property. There are stairs to access the apartments but this wasn’t a problem for us. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Venice.
