Piazza San Marco

If you want to dig a bit deeper into Agrigento’s glittering history, this is the place to come. The Regional Archaeological Museum is full of ancient artefacts from the area’s Hellenic past, each one supported by a fascinating back story. A must see attraction when visiting Venice. If you are eating or drinking, it's best to go through the ally ways and two rows back, approx 100 yards. The prices can be 50% less and it only takes a minute to get back to the views.

If you are sitting at Florian or other high end cafe sit under the awing to avoid aggressive seagulls from snatching your food off the table like a scene out of Hitchcock's The Birds. Hordes of narcissists from every country in the world posing in the exact same way for their Instagram feeds cluttering the Piazza.

What a marvel...but...don't even think of eating/getting coffee here unless you understand: coffee is c. 10Euro...but walk thru, peak in the windows, stroll around listening to the music, feel the ambiance and then hit the narrow walkways for real food (read reviews...touristy places can have awful food...there are plenty of great restaurants if you search)

Go early in the morning, or in the evening, to avoid tourist overcrowding. Learn when the two high tides are. Book St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and tours for early admission, and do so well in advance of your trip.

This accommodation was very convenient from the station but about 25 mins walk from Piazza San Marco. We actually found this to be an advantage as the restaurant near the hotel were better value for money (and with lower cover charges) than more central locations. The hotel was very clean and the sister hotel where you checking in/out were also happy to store your bags which was very helpful.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Ca'Ada. The host Alberto gave us all the information we needed to find the apartment easily and offered advice on restaurants and trips. A bottle of Prosecco and water was waiting in the fridge which was a lovely touch. The property is very secure and right next to a square with restaurants and cafés. It is just a short walk to Piazza San Marco, so perfect location. The property has spacious bedrooms and air-conditioning and was comfortable.

The hotel room is very clean. Beds are super comfortable. Lorenzo, the manager, was amazing. He helped us with directions and anything we needed. He told us some history of the building. He is a very kind gentleman. The location was a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. We also met the owner, a true Venetian who was very nice and accommodating.

Such a cute, quaint hotel in a lovely square just a short walk from Piazza San Marco and Rialto. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very cute, in Venetian style, very clean and with nice layout and with nice touches like complimentary tea, coffee and bottles of water and slippers. Breakfast was good and the best part was having it outside overlooking the square. Will definitely choose it again when visiting Venice!
