Piazza San Marco

If you want to dig a bit deeper into Agrigento’s glittering history, this is the place to come. The Regional Archaeological Museum is full of ancient artefacts from the area’s Hellenic past, each one supported by a fascinating back story. It’s the perfect complement to your visit to the Valley of the Temples.

A must see attraction when visiting Venice. If you are eating or drinking, it's best to go through the ally ways and two rows back, approx 100 yards. The prices can be 50% less and it only takes a minute to get back to the views.

If you are sitting at Florian or other high end cafe sit under the awing to avoid aggressive seagulls from snatching your food off the table like a scene out of Hitchcock's The Birds. Hordes of narcissists from every country in the world posing in the exact same way for their Instagram feeds cluttering the Piazza.

What a marvel...but...don't even think of eating/getting coffee here unless you understand: coffee is c. 10Euro...but walk thru, peak in the windows, stroll around listening to the music, feel the ambiance and then hit the narrow walkways for real food (read reviews...touristy places can have awful food...there are plenty of great restaurants if you search)

Go early in the morning, or in the evening, to avoid tourist overcrowding. Learn when the two high tides are. Book St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace and tours for early admission, and do so well in advance of your trip.
