What a fantastic stay at the Kaname Inn! I have to say everything was perfect. I originally planned to stay 5 nights but added on an extra 2 when the weather turned bad, and it was really cozy. The location was excellent within walking distance of the major sites and near lots of restaurants. Easy to get to from the station - only 3 stops on the bus. Every single one of the staff were charming and so helpful. It was lovely to see such friendly welcoming faces every day. My room was spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable (not hard like other Japanese beds) and had a sofa in it which was excellent for relaxing. There was a minifridge cups and a kettle. The bathroom had a good sized bath. It was all sparkling clean. An added bonus was the bar which had really excellent food and drinks (I got some coupons for drinks for electing not to have my room cleaned thoroughly every day). Plus the DJ played excellent vinyl every night. Finally the price was extremely reasonable. This was my second visit to Kanazawa and my first to Kaname. It won't be my last, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

The hotel is very modern and clean, close to the station and the points of interest. The staff is extremely kind, the bedrooms are spacious and have big comfy beds. The price for value is great. I can't recommend it enough!

The room is very spacious and the bed is one of the best beds I had on holidays. The breakfast offers a great variety of food and very has very authentic Kanazawa local flavour. The only point I could raise is the space arrangement at the breakfast area. The aisle at the food area is very narrow. It's inevitable to bump into other customers and the serving ladies. Overall, we enjoyed the Hotel Sanraku Kanazawa very much and we will definitely come back again!

    Beautiful in any season!

    Beautiful in any season! My first visit was in winter, when snow covered much of the gardens and gave it an etheral beauty, then in spring which was a feast for the eyes. This latest trip was once again in winter and the beauty still impressed me.

    Everything was great, staff were friendly and amenities were welcome. Loved that we had a washing machine and access to coffee and icemachine. Family mart and bus stops were nearby as was access to Kanazawa castle, Kenrokuen Gardens, Omicho Market, the samurai and Korinbo areas. The Higashi chaya older area and train station were a short bus ride away. .

    Lovely hotel in the Kanazawa business district. Very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free drinks and amenities at the lobby. Didn’t try the breakfast buffet, but there are lots of options around. Kenrokuen garden is just a 10-min walk. Would definitely stay here again!

    The room was massive! Way bigger than we expected especially for Japan standards. Beautiful, modern space in a gorgeous and quiet street. Nice and private, yet super close to some great restaurants and bars, and easily walkable to Kenrokuen Gardens and Kanazawa Castle. The owner sat down with us and explained about Kanazawa to help us understand the city and some sightseeing opportunities too, so helpful! Honestly I would book this again in a second. Such a cool location and space. Oh, and a complete bargain!

    Central location, next to food stalls and restaurants of Omicho market. Walking distance to Kenrokuen garden and Kanazawa castle. Friendly & helpfull staff. Large (to Japanese standards) room, nicely appointed, large bathroom. 24 h free drinks in the lobby, free soba noodles every evening 21 - 23 h.

    Centrally located hotel very close to the Kenrokuen garden and not too far from the train station. The room was very big for Japanese standards, and that for a very cheap price. Combined with a nice onsen (both indoor and outdoor) to relax after a long day of exploring Kanazawa, we had the most wonderful stay. 10/10 price-quality!
