The hotel was great! Great location, great amenities, the laundromat was useful as well as the public baths. Each floor has a place for ice dispensing. Overall, it was an exceptional stay as it is very affordable.

Location: 5mins walk to Kyoto station. Easy to take all kinds of transportation, JR, bus, Haruka…… Room Size: very big! Which is quite rare in Japan. We three adults really enjoy the big space in the room Kitchen: nice kitchen utensils and plenty of bowls. We used them to cook a wonderful meal. Bathroom: can’t believe they have two washing basins there! Love that! Also, they offer high-quality products: shampoo from POLA(which I regret not asking if I can buy some from them), and hair dryer from Dyson. Lock: I admire they use password to open the door instead of electronic cards. We three all can open the door and don’t have to worry about forgetting the key. Staff: very kind and helpful

OMG. This is the best hotel my kids and me were in Japan. The zen ambiance and the kindness of all the staff at every moment is just amazing. It was a fantastic surprise from the lobby to the room. Our room were wonderful and we were feeling like in a Japanese traditional house! Just wonderful! The breakfast just excellent with a lot of options to discover Japanese cuisine. Another very nice surprise were the included free amenities for all the guests: from 1pm to 5 pm to have a choice of Japanese dessert and non stop drinks (without alcohol) for families and from 6pm to 8 pm a Sake and beer degustation. Just great to continue to discover Kyoto and Japanese culture. They are very kind and always ready to help you. I told them personally before my check out!! The best hotel that I strongly recommend to everyone!! Next year we will come back for sure!!

We enjoyed our stay on Mimaru Hotel. The most confortable bed and pillow we ever splept on japan. Regular room with a center table, very useful for the everyday activies. Great location, 2 minutes walking from the station ok Kyoto. All the facilities are included, washing machine in the first floor, availables with coins.

    Amazing hotel which is right outside the metro station and 8 mins walk away from Kyoto station. The rooms are standard Japanese fare (quite compact) but the lobby area is great for chilling/working/resting. There’s a lot of free drinks available throughout the day; drip coffee, teas, ready to go coffee, plus you get a free alcoholic drink every night! Definitely recommend for a stay in Kyoto, we stayed for 2 weeks and it was a perfect base for slow travel.

    Fantastic location, just a short walk away from Kyoto Station and plenty of restaurants/izakayas around. Dormy Inn always delivers with the onsen and breakfast, both were great as expected. P.S. This is one of the few hotels in Japan I've stayed at that has a water dispenser available 24/7 at the lobby, which I appreciated!

The room is extremely comfortable for a short stay: you have tea/coffee, water refilled every day, traditional Japanese pajamas. Umbrellas are available.
